End of Indoor Training
After a winter of sweating through boring hours on
the indoor trainer - is it time to put it away? Scientists
speculate that birds use a combination of environmental and hormonal
factors to decide when to migrate. Assuming it is not hormonal,
what are the signs for cyclists to know it is time to switch from
indoor training and migrate to the great outdoors?
While out riding yesterday my cycling instincts
told me it was time to end indoor training and begin the outdoor
riding season. Here were the top ten telltale signs:
#10 - People mowing their lawns
#9 - The sound of croaking frogs
#8 - Cars pulling boats
#7 - Being passed by motorcycles and convertibles
#6 - Short sleeve jersey
#5 - The smell of pollen
#4 - Little gnats in the air
#3 - A snake on the road
#2 - 6pm and still 2 hours of riding light
And the #1 sign for putting away the indoor
trainer…
#1 Fellow cyclists out riding
See you out on the road!
